We are now well into the New Year and busy making plans for 2014.

The countdown has started to the 2014 Junior Championship and February 11th is fast approaching, so if you want to take part then reserve your place on the grid now. The cost is just £28.00 per round with trophies for Junior and Cadet Championships. In case you are confused about the running of each round, then this is a brief summary. Juniors and Cadet Driver’s race against each other, BUT are competing in two separate championships. There will be 10 rounds with each driver’s best 8 scores counting towards the final result. At each round every driver has 5 laps of practice, and during the evening will each contest 5 races of 8 laps and a 12 lap semi final. The top six drivers overall will then enter a 20 lap Grand Final.

Last year we were one of five circuits, out of approximately 120 in the UK, who were asked to send five drivers to an EASY KART assessment day, where the best driver of the day was presented with a brand new Easy Kart Cadet kart, with all entry fees paid for 2014 season and the use of a mechanic. Our driver, Harry Graham, beat all the other drivers and will now be contesting this year’s Easy Kart Championship. When the organisers of this competition discussed plans for 2014 they agreed that Mr Karting should again be asked to submit 5 drivers for their Assessment day later in the year. So our top 5 Cadet driver’s to take part in the Easy Kart competition, will be the top five Cadet driver’s who take part in our Junior Open Grand Prix Series.

Remember time is ticking by, so if you want to follow in the footsteps of the 2013 British Formula Three Champion Jordan King, or GP3 driver’s Nick Yelloly and Alice Powell, and many other top kart racers who learnt their craft at Mr Karting, reserve your grid place NOW.
