Ex Mr Karting driver and British racer Nick Yelloly is to return to the GP3 Series this season, and has made a switch to Status Grand Prix.

The 23-year-old contested the 2011 and ’13 campaigns in GP3, finishing sixth in the points last season with Carlin.

In between, he took fifth position in the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Series, with two wins.

“I’m very happy to be joining Status GP for 2014,” said Yelloly. “We have a clear aim to win the championship together.

“I’d like to thank my father David and my manager Mark Blundell for making it happen with Status GP. We’re really looking forward to getting started.”
