Terms & Conditions

We are an outdoor karting circuit, and run in all weather conditions. Wetsuits are available but it is advisable for attendees to bring suitable clothing for outdoor activities.

Our karting activities and circuit operates under the National Karting Association (NKA) safety guidelines, and is insured accordingly.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • All activities must be booked in advance and paid for in full prior to driving.
  • We will require a deposit at the time of booking to secure your track time. If booking less than 14 days in advance of the green flag, payment in full will be required.
  • Amending your booking date can be done by phone or email up to 7 days in advance. Changing your booking time or number of drivers must be notified with at least 48 hours notice, and is not guaranteed (if you are reducing the number of drivers in your booking at short notice you may be subject to payment for the original booking number of participants).
  • If you are unable to attend on the day due to force-majeure please get in touch asap prior to your scheduled booking. If possible we will do our best to find a suitable outcome or rescheduled date, however, if no notification is made with adequate notice you may be required to pay the balance of your booking and may not be entitled to a refund or reschedule of your booking.
  • Cancelation is only accepted with 7 days notice prior to the booking start date. It may be possible, although not guaranteed, to reschedule the event with shorter.
  • Every effort is made to ensure mechanical reliability. In the unlikely event of breakdown another time slot may be offered at the race director’s discretion.
  • Should Adventure Sports feel it’s necessary to cancel your booking, it shall use reasonable endeavours to notify you as soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause, but no other compensation shall be payable.
  • In the case of intentional damage to property, Adventure Sports will pursue those responsible for compensation (for equipment repairs and loss of revenue incurred).
  • Adventure Sports is not liable for any losses or damage to clothing, footwear, personal effects or vehicles.
  • Special offers, discounts and multi-event packages are non-refundable and once booked cannot be amended or partially redeemed.


DRIVERS & PARTICIPANTS

  • Drivers must be older than 8 years of age at the time of driving for insurance purposes. Cadet karts are provided for drivers aged 8-11years approx. with a minimum height of 132cm (with shoes). Junior karts are provided for drivers under 14 years of age who are tall enough to operate the kart safely at the race directors discretion, this is approx. 152cm, but is dictated by their ability to operate the brake pedal fully and safely. Drivers over 14 years of age will drive our adult karts.
  • Drivers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while at the premises, and can only participate with a responsible adult’s permission.
  • Karting is not suitable for persons with heart, back or neck problems or those who are pregnant or epileptic. It is also not suitable for persons with conditions which may be affected by exertion to drive. If you have any condition that would prevent you from driving on the road or obtaining a driving license, you should check with a race director prior to arrival if you are able to participate. If you have special needs it is important that you notify us prior to arrival. If you are colourblind you MUST notify a race director prior to driving.
  • You will not be allowed to take part in the go karting activity if you have, or appear to have, consumed alcohol or other intoxicants. This is at the race directors discretion and is not appealable.
  • All drivers participation is subject to the race directors discretion for their own safety and the safety of others. A full safety briefing is given and a brake test performed prior to participation. If a drivers driving standards do not meet the required level to ensure safe participation they will be removed from the track session.
  • Helmets MUST be worn at all time while driving. These are available in a range of sizes from XS to XXL.
  • Prior to driving participants will be required to register and confirm they are aware of and accept the potential risks involved with the activity, confirm they are physically and mentally fit to participate, will follow the instructions given by the race director, are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

 

ON THE DAY

  • You must arrive at the specified arrival time, typically 30 minutes before your track session to allow time for safety briefing and racewear allocation. Late arrivals may receive reduced track time, or may be unable to participate in the driving activity all together at the race directors discretion.
